Concrete Home Construction [not an Insulated Concrete Foundation/ICF]

Dependant Foundations has recently gained recognition in the Concrete Foundation Association's monthly publication "Concrete Facts" for its construction of a one of a kind full concrete home located in Hartland, Michigan.  This home was formed and poured with an aluminum forming system and has concrete floors, walls, ceilings, and formed window and door openings.  True full concrete homes offer thermo advantages. A full concrete home incorporates the use of concrete for the floors, ceilings and walls in combination with an insulated exterior.

  • Reduced energy costs;

The advantage of using concrete as a thermo mass aids in the design of heating and cooling systems that can operate at a high level efficiency.

  • Personal security against high wind and fire;

Concrete is the foundational structural element for the entire home, this includes concrete walls and headers.  These add to the structural integrity of the home when used above grade and creates a virtually tornado proof building that is also highly fire resistant.

  • Unequaled noise reduction;

The transfer of noise from the outside activity is also greatly reduced, not to mention the reduce of noise between levels of the home.

Dependant's created 3D Rendering from print.
