Dependant Foundation’s Layout Process

After you select Dependant Foundations to do your foundation work the layout process will begin!

First we would prefer to meet with you, do review, and finalize the details of your working drawings.

After the review Dependant Foundation’s will redraw your foundation plan with our customized software. This helps us dimensionally close the drawing to help assure accuracy in the measurements and provides our layout professional with the detailed dimensional data.

Dependant Foundations downloads the dimensional data into one of its two “Geodimeters”. These precision survey tools assist us in plotting all relevant points of your foundation [corners, columns pads, piers, posts, anchor bolts, etc.].

How Does it Work? Radio frequency communications are constantly occurring between the robotic survey tool and the computer handset. This communication allows the survey tool to track and monitor its counterpart’s exact location. We need two offset points provided by you to setup the initial process.

At least two permanent points or offset stakes are required for the layout process!
